Our Vitamin B12 offers a high dose of 1,000 µg of B12 (methylcobalamin) per capsule. Why such a high dose, you may ask. Because not all of B12 gets absorbed.

In general, your body only absorbs about 11.5 µg of a 1,000 µg dose. The rest of it is either stored or excreted through urine (as B12 is water-soluble) if your stores are full. That's why no maximum intake limit has been set and an overdose has been considered impossible.

With the best form of folate for maximum effect

Aside from methylcobalamin, these capsules also contain methylfolate, the best possible form of folate.

The form usually found in supplements is folic acid, a synthetic form of folate, which has to be metabolised to methylfolate to be used by the body. But over 50% of people have a decreased enzyme activity, which results in lower levels of bioactive methylfolate.
